We're about to get kicked out of the fancy room with free internet, so I'm clinging on for dear life. Must. check. email. one. more. time!!
After moving, we're about to get the show on the road. We met our dear friends, the Oetjens (link on right) at breakfast, and we also met another group member Holly and her daughter and parents (also linked). They've been in Beijing for a few days already. The rest of hte group will be coming in later today and we have group tours with them tomorrow.
Today, we're going to wing it around town with Holly and the Oetjens. We're hoping to take the Ngong Ping 360 cable car to the big Buddha today. It sounds amazing. If you feel so inclined, because I'm too lazy to link it, go to flickr.com and search for pictures of the Ngong Ping. It's amazing. Hopefully, I'll have some pictures myself tomorrow.
Some quickies:
The breakfast buffet was great! Very full.
It's weird being the minority...a life lesson is in there, I'm sure.
I knew we were big people, but I feel absolutely amazonian.
There's no hairdryer in my hotel room, so don't laugh at my pictures. It's not a fashion show, you know.
I did figure out the picture thing. One at a time works, but very slowly. I'll invest the time for Zoe pics, but not ones of us wandering around airports. The one at the top is us as my parents dropped us off at the airport. After 30 or so hours of travel (door to door) we looked a little different at the end. You don't need to see that.

I can't wait to read and see how it is when you meet your baby!
I'm happy to see that you CAN blog! You're posting yourself right, and not emailing to someone in the states to post for you? I've been trying to figure out if we need to scrap our blog and find an alternative before we travel - but seeing new posts from you with pictures gives me hope!
Two more days til Zoe - you must be so excited!!

Well, it is 7 in the morning here on Friday, so your day is just about to end. Hope you enjoyed the sites of Hong Kong! I bet it was amazing!
No! You are not blogging too much. I check your blog several times a day. It is such an exciting time. I can't wait to see you with Zoe. You are almost there!!
What I always wonder is how hard is it to stroll through your tours and such knowing in a very short amount of time your daughter will be in your arms forever. It would/will KILL me......
Georgia,
Can you tell the Oetjens to please POST to their blog? Their friends are worried about them!!
Enjoy your trip!!
