The cut off is the 19th. The CCAA has posted it on their website. Like I said before, I'm grateful the rumors gave us warning. I think I had a few little cries, but nothing like I anticipated if we missed it. We're fine. A big ol' "eh, well....whatever."
My agency said, "...but now you know you're next, for sure." And we should be next. There's no one in front of us anymore. I suppose I'll get really, really excited again soon, but for now I'm still thinking about what else could go wrong. People have been skipped. LID's have been wrong. I feel sort of like I need to see it to believe it.
And of course, now we need to worry about our fingerprints again! We'll require a third set in April, so if for some reason we're not in the next batch and we don't travel quickly, we'll have that to worry about, too.
So as much as I'd love to parade around the internet with the word, "NEXT!!" in my tag line, I'm not quite there yet. I'm not wallowing in bed with chocolates to console myself, but I'm not starting a countdown either. Not yet, anyway.

I'm sorry that you missed it, it stinks and I know first hand what it's like missing it by one stinking day. I'm being positive that you're next though with no problems!!
Sorry about the miss. I know that feeling myself!
NEXT, is good.
I now it must be so frustrating - as this whole long, crazy wait has been. It will sink in as we get closer to the next referrals and the excitement will return...I know how hard it is to let yourselves feel that, but you are indeed next!!
Best to you,
Susan
Right - no satin sheets. No bunny slippers. No chocolate. You are tougher than that...
So how about a beer?
I am so bummed for you! But, in a couple of weeks you will feel great because you know you are next! I had all the fear too of "what if something goes wrong", but don't worry, nothing will! You are next girl!
Next month is YOUR month. However, I can totally relate to the cloud that hangs over you where you wonder what if, what if...... If there is one thing this whole process has taught us all (hint: it ain't patience), it is that waiting for the other shoe to drop feeling. Thanks for the info on the hat pattern.
The cut-off date was a bummer to me, and my LID is 3/3/06, so I can't even imagine how frustrated you must be. With the "one-time free renewal" at USCIS, at least maybe you won't have to pay for the next set of fingerprints. February WILL be your month!
Ugh. I am sending up big prayers that February is your month. February is your month. February is your month.

I'm sorry for your long wait. I was rally hoping that you would be in this batch, you had me going with the January 4th thing. Maybe it was February 4th? I will check again soon.
Eva and Sara
Take it from someone who is FIGHTING mad at USCIS. Go re-do your fingerprints NOW because you don't want sleepless nights and ulcer causing angst ridden days.
