November was busy with family coming to town for Thanksgiving and adoption paperwork (Yes, you heard that right, but that's the best part, so I'll save it for last) This is the only picture from that time.
Also in November, Zoe got a haircut.
December is always busy for me at the post office, but Jeff was working late this month, too, so by the time Christmas came around we were really, really ready for vacation! We went to Florida to spend Christmas with Jeff's family. We did the same thing the previous year and both times Zoe developed ear infections. I think we've learned our lesson and will be staying home from now on! I would never, never wish my babe to be ill, but she you can always tell how bad she feels by the level of clinginess she has. She is always affectionate, but if she is sick, she will literally be glued to someone, usually me. It is awfully sweet, and I got some precious pictures of Zoe snuggling with famiy.

and when she wasn't attached to someone, she looked something like this...
December also brought a new addition to the family. Check out that bad boy. Jeff is quite proud and I am once again a nervous wreck when he's off on it. Fortunately the weather hasn't permitted too much motorcycling so far.
January was back to work...back to school. Pretty ho-hum for the most part. We did have a lovely ice storm that kept us home bound for a few days. We didn't venture out much. Zoe wasn't impressed.
And now its February... Not much so far, so back to November and the adoption stuff....
Around the beginning of November we found our son!!
I was trolling waiting child advocacy groups and I saw a post that read something like, "I'm looking for a 4 year old boy named (specific name.)"
The response was something like, "I don't know that boy, but I do know this sweet boy. I followed the link and there he was. My son.
Jeff and I talked and agreed an older boy might be a perfect fit in our family. After that we had a flurry of paperwork and now we are back into waiting mode. Unfortunately, since we weren't expecting to find our next child anytime soon, I let our immigration paperwork expire. Most likely I would already be planning our trip if it weren't for that. As it is, we expect to travel in June or July.
